2023 – Bespoke Kitchen & Furniture Overview
An overview of some stunning projects we completed this year – from traditional bespoke kitchens, all the way to sleek modern bedrooms.
A Bespoke Blue Kitchen
Here is a beautiful bespoke kitchen hand-painted in a colour scheme of blues and off-whites.
As you can see there are two tall, curved cabinets either side of the kitchen entrance. As well as looking great the curved aspect of these cabinets keep the space feeling spacious and free flowing. Inside, it provides the perfect pantry storage with oak interior shelving. Curved cabinetry is a brilliant showcase of the skill and expertise of our cabinet makers.
Additionally, a key part of this kitchen is the larder – situated behind two pocket doors it reveals a baking space with a pull out granite worksurface, shelving, and lights on a sensor. This handmade kitchen is full of unique details such as a baize lined cutlery drawer, a handmade knife block, and a pelmet to complement the additional height of the room.
Traditional Oak Library
This beautiful oak library was handmade and designed to surround the customers dining area. It consists of three units which include shelving to hold books and ornaments, as well as cupboards and drawers for storage. There is also a glazed cabinet providing the perfect space to display glasses.
Since the shelves were particularly wide we inserted hidden metal into the oak to fully prevent them from ever sagging. We also chose to add a dental moulding in the cornice to match the original fireplace of the house – details like this make all the difference when it comes to finalising the perfect design. The chosen knobs were solid antique brass and the regency panel for the radiator was specifically hand-made.
Overall a gorgeous traditional library setting the perfect scene for dinner guests!
A Modern Bedroom
This sleek and modern bedroom consists of a range of furniture pieces all in high gloss. Each piece was polished completely by hand – a long and skilled process. The overall effect of the mirrored glossy look is stunning and perfectly suits the modern theme the client was looking for. The furniture has solid oak interiors and, of course, dovetail drawers. Colour changing lights have also been incorporated throughout the bedroom allowing the different colours to change the feel and mood of the space.
In addition to this, we also built up walls to create a separate area for a walk-in wardrobe. This space has also been lit up with the colour changing lights and has a full length mirror, shelving, hanging space, and drawers.
A Classic Bespoke Kitchen
This bespoke kitchen project was designed and handmade in the classic shaker style. It has solid oak dovetail drawers and a beautiful large canopy above the electric Aga. The tall units consist of a fridge-freezer behind one door, and an oak larder behind the other. Additionally, the subtle grey hand-painted cabinetry keeps the space feeling spacious and bright.
Some notable details within this gorgeous kitchen include a luxurious quartz worktop and a bead within the framework to add extra character. Other pieces of furniture were also made to match the kitchen. These include an oak-topped dresser, and a cupboard fitted into an alcove of the hallway. Overall, a stunning and timeless kitchen with plenty of storage space and unique details.
Handmade Folding Desk
Here we designed and hand-made a folding bespoke desk. Designed for a home office that doubles up as a bedroom, it needed to be moveable and easily kept out of the way. It not only folds up, but it is also extendable at each end. This desk has been skilfully handmade in solid oak and is a perfect showcase of our excellent craftsmanship. Additionally, there is a dovetail drawer in the centre of the desk providing some storage. Plus, the castor wheels allow for its easy transportation.
This desk is certainly unique and has been made perfectly to suit the customers needs.
Oak Bathroom Panelling
In this gorgeous bathroom we handmade some shaker-style panelling to beautifully complement the characterful cottage it is home to. It was handmade in oak and then stained and oiled to create a nice lustre look. The solid oak top runs back to the window creating a seamless windowsill.
Additionally, we designed a discreet magnetic key that opens the panel above the toilet. This allows easy access to the toilet cistern for any maintenance.
