Bespoke Kitchens in Milton Keynes

View examples of our high-quality, bespoke workmanship:

History of Milton Keynes

While having only been titled a city since 2022, Milton Keynes is located within Buckinghamshire. With Salcey Cabinet Makers being situated just outside of Towcester, Milton Keynes is a local area to us in which we have served many times in the past – providing handmade bespoke kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, and furniture alike.

A Recent Project

We have provided handmade bespoke furniture and kitchens to a vast range of places in and around Milton Keynes. This includes, Wolverton, Newport Pagnell, Woburn Sands, and Aspley Guise. Recently, we completed some bespoke furniture in Woburn for the award-winning Paris House Restaurant. As can be seen below, we handmade 12 beautiful tabletops, veneered in Burr Oak and Heavy Pippy Oak.

The Architectural Vision

Often renowned for its ultra-modern architectural design, Milton Keynes has always been an example of new and experimental ideas.

Unlike most cities which grow gradually and evolve through time, Milton Keynes was a planned project that started out in the 1960s. Taking its grid road system from the layout of many American cities, this was an innovative choice and is one of the only cities presenting this design in the UK.

Certainly, the initial vision for Milton Keynes was to build a modern city that would centre around business, shopping districts, and the ease of travel.

While much of Milton Keynes remains modern in appearance and design, there do remain notable places of historical interest. For example, Bletchley Park Museum was the well-known estate which was used to house the Government Code and Cypher School during WW2. It was here where a group of people, including Alan Turing, were able to crack the Germans secret codes of the Enigma Machine and Tunny Cipher.

Stony Stratford also remains a historic market town which is located just a 10-minute drive from our workshop. Many times in the past we have provided bespoke kitchens and furniture to this area. On its traditional high street, you can find an array of quaint pubs, cafes, and shops.

A Unique Kitchen Project

Below is a gorgeous bespoke kitchen project we completed in Milton Keynes. The client wanted this kitchen to have a variety of textures and so we used a range of different materials and finishes to achieve this. These included, reclaimed oak, solid black granite, hand-painted distressed cabinetry, reclaimed pine, aged copper, and weathered oak. We also used a selection of different handles with unique details such as brass rails and a ladder that hangs on the wall.
