2024 – Bespoke Kitchen & Furniture Overview

Take a look at a selection of just some of our bespoke projects from over the past year…

Bespoke Kitchen with a Large Island

This gorgeous bespoke kitchen was designed with a quadrant bead on both the doors and panels for an added detail. It was hand-painted in two different colours – an off-white for the cabinetry that runs along the walls, and a pale blue for the island – to create an inviting contrast that is then warmed by the oak flooring and leather seats.

A stunning quartz worktop runs throughout the kitchen, and since our client wanted a large island, we designed it to be as big as we could whilst still being able to keep this quartz slab in one piece.

With integrated appliances, a range of both drawers and cupboards, this kitchen keeps a spacious and refreshing atmosphere whilst still providing a range of storage solutions and functionality. There is also a large dresser with bi-fold doors that reveals an oak interior with lighting.

Reclaimed Pine Dining Table

For this project our client was looking for a bright rustic-style dining table. The reclaimed pine creates gorgeous textures for the rustic look which we bleached and oiled using a matte finish to ensure that the timber does not darken. The paler table top perfectly contrasts with the black underframe and overall combines character and elegance into the room.

Dark Green Boot Room

This gorgeous boot room consists of the perfect balance between hidden and displayed storage. Our client wanted to ensure that the space still felt like a boot room whilst also keeping it tidy in appearance. The range of storage options – from cupboards with oak interiors to dovetail drawers and hooks for open hanging space, each aspect was designed specifically to accommodate our client’s storage needs.

There are two bench areas – one with a lift-up solid oak lid, and another that wraps around the corner with shoe racks underneath. The tongue & groove panelling at the backs of the seats adds another traditional detail into this stunning space.

Designed with a small quadrant inside the panelling to add some detail, it was also hand-painted in the colour “Studio Green” complementing the warmer tones of the oak tops, the aged leather cushion, and antique brass hardware.

Make-up Box

Entirely handmade, this ornate makeup box was designed as a surprise birthday gift to go with another piece that we had previously made for our client.

The exterior was made using a single piece of solid American black walnut to create a seamless grain that follows all the way around the box. The front piece has been bookmatched in Burr oak veneer, showcasing a stunning and intricate pattern. With traditional solid brass hinges and lock, the front piece then opens out to reveal a set of solid oak drawers with solid burr oak fronts.

This design is all about fine detail and showcasing the natural grain and aesthetic of the different timbers, all coming together to create a beautiful and sentimental gift.

Contemporary Bespoke Kitchen

This bespoke kitchen project embodies modern sophistication, with a seamless blend of elegant design and seamless functionality. The cabinetry consists of a stunning contrast with the sleek white aesthetic against the natural warmth of the timeless oak. This fusion of material and design creates a characterful, modern space that feels both refreshing and inviting.

We also designed and made a set of secret steps that can be easily folded out and hidden away after use.

Oak Desk with Bi-fold Doors

Handmade in European Oak with an oiled finish, this desk was designed for a client who wanted a desk for working at home, but that could be neatly closed and kept looking clean as a nice feature piece of decorative furniture. The bi-fold doors open up to reveal a hidden space for a computer monitor and shelves for books, paperwork, or ornaments. There is also a printer drawer and a keyboard tray that pulls out from the centre.

Traditional Hand-painted Bookcase

A beautiful bookcase project, handmade to match the alcove unit we had already previously made for our client’s study. Designed in a traditional style, this piece consists of lovely open shelving to display both books and ornaments, whilst the cupboards below provide hidden storage for paperwork and box files.

The warmth of the solid oak shelves perfectly complements the hand-painted finish of the rest of the cabinetry – a colour called “Schoolhouse White”. These shelves also have hidden metal inserts inside to provide additional support and prevent them from sagging in the future. Lighting runs across the top shelf to illuminate the ornaments for an added sense of luxury – fitted with a hidden touch-sensitive switch.

Dark blue shaker kitchen

A gorgeous kitchen project designed in the classic shaker style and hand-painted in “Hague Blue” contrasting perfectly against the Quartz worktop.

Our client’s old kitchen had been water damaged and so they had come to us for a full redesign. We took out a wall that originally separated the space into two sections, opening the room up and providing a better flow. Antique brass fittings are consistent throughout the kitchen, and complement the dark blue cabinetry perfectly.

Other details include: A double Belfast sink, a pantry with an oak interior and sensor lighting, and a range of integrated appliances – including an Italian LOFRA fridge-freezer in black with brass detailing.
