Wardrobes are essential to keeping our bedrooms and dressing rooms organised and tidy. Without a wardrobe our clothes would end up strewn across the floor, so it’s important that your wardrobe not only reflects your personality in its appearance, but also that it fits exactly what you need inside. Below we explore exactly why bespoke fitted wardrobes are a great choice for you and your home.
A major benefit of choosing to have bespoke wardrobes is that they are of the most excellent quality. Throughout every stage, whether it be the design, the materials, the hand-making, right down to the smallest of details, you will be guaranteed the best quality through and through.
Bespoke fitted wardrobes not only look luxurious but also feel it – there is a noticeable difference between off the shelf wardrobes and those that are bespoke and handmade with care.
Because our bespoke wardrobes are hand-made to such a high standard, we offer a lifetime guarantee on everything designed and made by Salcey Cabinet Makers.
It’s crucial that your bedroom reflects your personality in both its appearance and how you use the space. After all, it is one of the most personal spaces in the home, and so it is important that it becomes a place where you feel comfortable and relaxed.
When choosing bespoke, at each stage of the process your options are endless. Whether you want something modern, traditional, or even a mixture of styles, there are no restrictions. You have your pick of timbers, paint colours, handles, lighting – every detail is down to you.
This makes the space completely personal and unique, leaving you with a beautiful, high quality wardrobe like no other.
Of course, wardrobes aren’t just about hanging clothes. They can be a place to store your handbags, hats, shoes, and even other accessories like jewellery and watches.
When designing your bespoke wardrobe, we consider not just how you wish to use the space but everything that needs to be stored. This means we can decipher exactly how the cabinetry should be laid out. This includes how much hanging space you will need or how many drawers. Perhaps you might need some shelving or pull-out shoe trays…or even smaller compartments for those more delicate and valuable possessions.
Buying standardised wardrobes can be a challenge when trying to find the perfect fit. Particularly if you have sloped ceilings, awkward corners, or small alcoves. You inevitably end up with space being wasted and the appearance of an awkward fit. Bespoke fitted wardrobes fit your room perfectly, ensuring that every inch of space is fully utilised.
Unlike the restrictions that come with set sizes, we design your wardrobe to fit the exact measurements that you need, no matter how awkward the space may seem.
Below is a wardrobe we designed and hand-made which is a perfect example of this.
The walls of the room had sloped angles, which limited the height at certain points. We were able to work around this and design a bespoke fitted wardrobe that fits perfectly and looks amazing. With solid oak interior shelving, and hanging rails designed to fully maximise the utility of the space, the exterior has been hand-painted in a refreshing shade of pale blue.
Finally, as space was limited, we used the doors on each end of the wardrobe to seamlessly include full length mirrors.
